Notes for self:
Dark Matter is (hypothesized) matter that is mostly non-baryonic and does not interact with electromagnetism, and thus very hard to observe, and believed to comprise upto 96% of all matter. Its existence would explain certain galaxy spin anomalies. Composition: May be within the realm of standard model, though even then may comprise new particles. May also comprise some baryonic (normal) particles in non-interacting states. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_matter
Dark Energy is basically the cosmological constant, and is currently believed to accelerate the expansion of the universe. Rather than being simply the cosmological constant, it may even be a function of spacetime, in which case it is also labeled Quintessence. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quintessence_%28physics%29 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_energy.
